Dr. Michio Kaku on Future Technology
This is an excellent lecture on near future technology.
Its about as long as a normal movie, very entertaining and infinitely more interesting. Grab some popcorn and enjoy, you will be glad you did...

Venus Pics
May 13/10 North of Grand Falls, NB on West bound Route 2 at Bourgoin Rd Exit.
2100 hrs
Venus shines like an on-coming plane, very impressive. This was the first good clear observing evenings in quite a while.
By the way, that is my work truck.
The New Moon was at 0300 hrs 14 May/10. I looked all day, into 15 May and it stayed cloudy so I did not see it.

Jupiter has lost one of its storm belts. It will definitely look different this summer.

Advanced Backyard Solar Observing
Some awesome pics of the sun taken with a backyard telescope, ccd camera, and a laptop.
This is a great hobby, but don't try it without getting the proper filters and finding out how to do it right. The sun will blind you almost instantly, if you don't use the right filters.
NASA SDO Sun Images
Very impressive how active our Sun is. These eruptions are many times the size of the earth.

Dr. Michio Kaku on the Iceland Volcano
My theory is that the large hadron collider is producing gravity waves that are in turn is causing the global earth quakes.
I have been told that gravity waves only occur a when super massive objects like stars or black holes collide. When super massive objects collide, maybe it is their atoms colliding that is causing the gravity waves, hence, when we collide atoms, we recreate the effect of massive objects colliding.
Again, this is just a theory.
